Kehishuravirus ΦCrass001 is a funky short tailed phage that is extremely prevalent in the human gut. In fact you almost certainly have these little dudes, cruising around your intestines :)
Crassviruses infect bacteria from the phylum Bacteroidota. These bacteria are pretty common in the gut and not necessarily harmful, which probably explains why their predators are so prevalent. A healthy ecosystem down there!
